OPEN EXHIBITION, 22-31 OCTOBER, 2021

Celebrating the diversity and vitality of Norfolk’s creative community.

Following the huge success of 2020’s inaugural showcase, this year’s Open Exhibition features 24 artists with 78 items on display. Making art more accessible to all is the ethos, while presenting a truly diverse cross section of artistic talent.

Discover a cornucopia of both classically inspired and contemporary artworks: an ocean of seascapes, swoon-worthy ceramics, thought-provoking paintings and mesmerising abstracts.

From Charles Julian’s striking compositions portraying the power of nature, to Lee Eveson’s street art-inspired canvases capturing the energy of urbanism.

Izzy Wingham’s stunningly intricate sketch of Castle Acre Priory juxtaposes with the loose pastel style of Sonia Orr’s beautiful rural landscapes.

Glimpse at Nicola Roberson’s functional ceramics through the fantastical translucent panels of Helen Taylor’s glass creations. A visual feast of contrasts, yet beautifully coherent.

The result is an exhibition that champions the diversity and vitality of Norfolk’s art world and reflects the breadth of talent found in the small towns and rural hamlets of this vast county.

Immerse yourself in the paintings, printmaking, drawings, ceramics, sculptures, glass art, mixed media and mosaics of this eclectic showcase. Then meet the talented and tenacious artists in person over the course of 10 days, as each takes up their post invigilating the event.

While you’re here, take a memento from our pop-up gift shop, where you’ll find locally made crafts and art inspired gifts, cards and prints made with love by Norfolk artists and craftspeople.

Open daily 11am-4pm from 22-31 October. All works are for sale.
