SOAP MAKING WORKSHOP, 28 OCTOBER, 2022
Want to make your own handmade, natural, beautifully scented soaps? The perfect gift or stocking filler, made by hand with love!
Join us for this festive workshop learning the traditional art of cold process soap-making, using delicious natural scents and ingredients.
Led by Lindsay MacLean of Seagreen Soap, this workshop will guide you through the step-by-step process of making a batch of vegan moisturising soap.
Your soap will be made using organic oils, fragrances and natural botanicals producing a batch of approximately 1kg, or 9 standard bars/ 8 large bars.
The soap batches will be unmoulded and cured, ready for Christmas gifts and stockings.
You’ll learn:
- the history of soap-making
- ingredients and recipes
- using and mixing essential oils
- legislation and safety
- how to fix it if it goes wrong!
The Christmas soap-making workshop with Lindsay MacLean takes place this October 28, 9.30am-1pm at West Acre Gallery.
