SUMMER ART FAIR WEEKEND, 8 + 9 AUGUST, 2020

A socially distanced indoor and outdoor event

Originally a Spring Art Fair scheduled for April, soon after the country went into lockdown, West Acre Gallery’s Summer Art Fair will now take place in August. It has been modified to meet social distancing requirements, and will include stalls both indoors and out.

As the country struggles to recover from the effects of Covid-19, now more than ever is the time to support local. Whatever your taste or budget, the Summer Art Fair will offer a range of affordable quality visual art, homewares, cards and handmade gifts created by local independent artists, designers, makers and artisans.

Clear guidance on social distancing and hygiene will be provided to visitors on arrival, with plenty of spacing between stalls, and visual aids to direct one-way flow through the premises and avoid congestion. Outdoor stalls benefit from a stunning backdrop of 12th century priory ruins, with beverages and delicious homebaked goods available to satiate hungry shoppers.

A variety of traders will offer everything from original artworks – including paintings, prints, pastel, ink, illustration and pencil art – to quirky one-off items of jewellery, mosaics, fused glass art, ceramics, woodwork and textiles.

Celebrate the easing of lockdown by supporting local at this humble alternative to the commercial high street, where you can buy affordable pieces direct from the artists themselves, at an art gallery Crowdfunded by the community.

The Summer Art Fair Weekend will take place 11am-4pm, Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August at West Acre Gallery, Abbey Farm, River Road, West Acre PE32 1UA. Free entry.
