The 2021 summer term will culminate with an all-inclusive children’s summer exhibition at West Acre Gallery, open to the public for 7 days, in which children of all ages will be invited to showcase their favourite creations.
Earlier this year we launched a Crowdfunder to raise funds for monthly children’s art sessions The Imagination Station, which commenced in April.
The Imagination Station offers creative sessions for pre-school and home educated children. They are encouraged, through art, to express their emotions, explore the beauty of nature, enjoy multi-sensory experiences and make new friends: all stimulating tools to relieve stress and anxiety, increase self-esteem, build confidence and improve hand-eye coordination.
The successful Crowdfunder surpassed its target and raised £840. This has been used to purchase disposable art materials such as paints, pencils, paper, glue, pastels, brushes, markers, clay and mini canvases for the Imagination Station groups.
This money will also contribute to the kids’ summer art exhibition, to cover the costs of venue hire, marketing material, custom merchandise, picture frames and the exhibition’s open day refreshments.
While our homeschoolers at The Imagination Station are currently building a body of work for the July showcase, we invite children of all ages and backgrounds to take part in the kids’ art exhibition, which we hope will be the first of many.
Simply complete the below form and return it to bookings@westacregallery.co.uk by Monday 28 June.
